An HMV 1892 television receiver, made in the United Kingdom, c. 1959.

This set has a 13 channel tuner which also includes a VHF radio. The cabinet is made from a single piece of veneered, steamed plywood. The wood is placed in a steam-filled chamber until it becomes soft and flexible. It's then curved round to create the cabinet shape and allowed to cool and 'set' in that shape. This was a quick and cheap way of producing TV cabinets.
