This dual standard 405/625 line television set has a 12 inch screen. It was one of the first truly portable television sets, taking power either from the mains or an external 12 volt battery. 405/625 dual standard fitted with a 13-channel turret tuner (upper knob) and continuously variable UHF tuner (lower knob). It was designed and manufactured in the Philips (Croydon) factory during the 1960s. John Ballyn was the staff designer who worked with Philips engineers to develop this set.
