Motor cycle engine for the Matchless 'Silver Hawk' model 35/B double "V" 4-cylinder engine, introduced in 1930. Designed for a luxury touring motorcycle. At the time the Silver Hawk was noted for its quietness and smoothness of operation. All of the four cylinders are cast in one piece, with each containing the inlet and exhaust valve in a detachable cylinder head. The valves were driven by an overhead camshaft. made by Matchless Motor Cyles (Colliers) Ltd. of London.
