Vertex magneto, sectioned. This was specially designed to replace the ignition distributor on engines fitted with coil ignition. It gave a good spark over the whole range of engine speeds. This particular example, made for a six-cylinder engine, was patented by Jakob Bohli and Gottleib Steiner of Switzerland and produced by Scintilla Ltd. of London, England, 1934.
