Scott-Robinson automatic carburettor type B. no.637, sectioned

This is an example of the automatic carburettor patented by M. Scott-Robinson in 1907. It is of the variable jet type, and has a single air inlet the area of which is varied with that of the jet in such a manner that a mixture of constant quality is obtained under all conditions.
