Daimler-Maybach motor car, 1895, is an example of the first type of car made at Daimler's own works at Cannstatt. It is driven by a two cylinder engine that is suspended behind and drives by means of four belts, a countershaft, the ends of which carry pinions engaging with internally toothed rings fixed to the wheels.
