Austin 7. motor car chassis, 4-cylinder water-cooled engine, 1930s

has an interesting history, having been built specifically for show purposes and displayed at Olympia in 1935. This is believed to be the only surviving Austin 7 show chassis.

The chassis shows the compact design of the Austin 7, which was created by Sir Herbert Austin who aimed to provide a small, reliable and economical car. Unlike many other small cars that preceded it, it was not built using motorcycle components.
