Unic taxicab, built in 1922, with the chassis and engine being manufactured by Unic in Puteaux, France, and the bodywork constructed by W R Wood in England. This Landaulette type taxi is powered by a 13.9 hp, four-cylinder, monobloc engine with a cone-type clutch, hand-brake controlled rear-wheel drum brakes, and a four-speed gearbox. The petrol tank is under the driver’s seat. This vehicle is capable of transporting up to four passengers in the enclosed rear section. There is a foldable hood over the rear passenger seats in case of bad weather, while there is a fixed roof over the otherwise open driver’s seat and front portion of the enclosed passenger section.
