Wolseley 10 motor car

Wolseley '10', 10.5 hp four cylinder motor car, 1924. The Wolseley 10, a small, high-quality car, was first introduced in 1920. The Wolseley Motor Company was officially formed in 1914 and soon became an international company with branches in Canada and Japan by 1918. The company specialised in upmarket cars, with a showroom on Piccadilly, London, next to the Ritz Hotel. However by 1926 it was facing financial difficulties with debts of £2 million, consequently in 1927 it was sold and renamed Wolseley Motors Ltd.

This Wolseley 10.5 hp four cylinder motor car took part in the 1955 Brighton Run and subsequently took part in four RAC Commemoration Runs from London to Brighton during the 1980s.
