6 h.p. "Baby Peugeot" Motor Car
Introduced in 1912, this BP1 type Baby Peugeot car set a trend for small light cars with the power of a larger car. The Baby Peugeot BP1 was designed by Ettore Bugatti, founder of Bugatti, who was reknowned in Europe for designing small-capacity engines which could produce extraordinary power. Being very lightweight made the car easy to handle and control, which a 1915 article in 'The Lightcar and Cyclecar' magazine credits with the vehicle's apparent popularity with female drivers.
