61 blueprints, drawings, and photograph of "Puffing Billy"

Copies of 61 blueprints and drawings, and one photograph, of the reproduction of "Puffing Billy" built for the Deutsche Museum.

Same size contact prints of original drawings of the locomotive Puffing Billy. Created to enable engineers and machinists to understand the materials, sizes and construction aspects of the build process.

Blueprints are always produced by a contact print format, to prevent 'camera stretch', either along one axis or both. This would make the original drawing copy inaccurate, thus potentially causing issues with component sizes during machining or casting.

There are a series of standard elevations or angles within tevery series of blueprints to enable the engineers to see a view of the components from the side, front, and top, the latter is called the plan view.
