This is a complete set covering the period from 29 Oct 1824 to 30 Feb 1846, that is from the first prospectus to the formation of the L.N.W.R. by the amalgamation of the London & Birmingham and Grand Junction Railways. Suffixed by three additional items: a 'Cattle Traffic Report' of the LNWR (1849 Feb); a 'Cattle Traffic Report' of the Lancaster & Carlisle Railway (1849); and a 'Report of the Directors & Statement of Accounts' of the LNWR (1888 Aug). The documents originally belonged to Charles Lawrence who was chairman of the Liverpool & Manchester and Grand Junction Railways]
