Model of Wright Model B Biplane

Model of Wright (model B) passenger Biplane of 1911.

Early Wright biplanes with their forward elevator were renowned for their quickness to answer control. But in spite of Wilbur's stunning performances in France in 1908 many aviators came to feel that the Wright aircraft were over-sensitive and difficult to fly. The Wright Brothers produced the Model B with a rear elevator, adopting in some ways the European monoplane layout typified by the Bleriot XI. Power plant: one 4-cylinder Wright engine of 55 hp (41 kw).
