Textile. The Flying Steam Company, to China in twenty-four hours certain / nd. [c1843]. Cotton, printed in monochrome crimson faded to pink; 47x63.5cm. Handkerchief printed with caricatures relating to and bearing impression of Henson's Aerial 1842. Some details faded altogether; stained, timeworn, brittle; has nevertheless an elegance and reference value; colouring at edges formerly under frame, especially lower edge formerly folded under, are original crimson tone cochineal; conserved backed and mounted 2002
