Wall telephone No. 3, made by Ericsson for the General Post Office, British, 1880-1910.

Wall Telephone No 3 was designed for central battery telephone systems, where the power for speech and signalling was drawn from a battery at the telephone exchange, rather than a 'local battery' associated with each individual telephone.
