This chunky radio transmitter was intended to be portable and came with a carrying handle. It has a hand driven generator, along with a carry handle, all within a contained wooden case, meaning that it could be moved around more easily than other amateur radio equipment - although at 20KG, this was still no easy feat. It is an example of early radio equipment, used by amateur radio enthusiasts in the UK.
