Large projection polariscope in three mahogany cabinets, by C.D. Ahrens, c. 1877. The polarising nicol prism is 3 1/2-inch clear aperture, the analysing nicol prism is 3 1/4-inch clear aperture, mounted in brass fittings for rotation &c with accessories, on attached sheet.
