The face of the piece of type measures about 5mm square. Souvenir card included. Made by The Lanston Monotype Corporation to illustrate the precision engineering and human skill employed in making matrices for use on Monotype casters. This item is very likely to have been made before 1931 when the company changed its name to The Monotype Corporation.
