Model of Mars 3 spacecraft, scale 1:48, original launched 28 May 1971

Twins Mars 2 and Mars 3 were launched 9 days apart by the Soviet Mars Program. Mars 2 failed and crashed headfirst into the surface, Mars 3 landed softly but failed soon after.
