Telegraph block instrument in green metal case; SR. Sykes/Walker's Lock and Block combined accepting/sending 2-tablet ("26 To Bearsted/From Bearsted") and double-arm block-indicators (brass-plated "Bearsted"). Both are encased in circular brass bezels, the former with brass plunger/switch hook/ "Line-Blocked" peg/chain, and the latter with bakelite-tapper/bell-key and commutator. To the rear of the instrument is a bell-assembly. As the instrument is open at both sides and the rear, it may be that it came out of a signalling-console. It is unsual to have both Sykes and Walker's instrumentation in the same instrument.
