Telegraph block instrument; Walker's type. Sykes' absolute combined Lock and Block with 2-position/2-indication double (lower-quadrant) red semaphore-arm block-indicators mounted on a brass finialled-post encased in a circular brass-bezelled aperture. Below this is a traffolyte plate inscribed "Hollingbourne", and a bakelite/brass bell-tapper to the RHS of which is a bakelite commutator. A brass bell-dome assembly is attached at the rear.
