Model, scale 1:24, of Launch for landing troops, George III, with figures c. 1780, by Fred Beard and Reginald John (Jack) Read, Peterborough, England, 1930. The contemporary model represents a clincher-built launch with removable seating to adapt it for the transport of horses. In terms of the figures, seamen and troops, they occupy their allotted positions. 20 seamen each manning an oar with a commanding officer comprise the naval personnel, while a detachment of troops forms the landing party.
