Model (unrigged), scale 1:24, of a mortar launch (1800), fitted for 16 oars and a small sail (neither present), made by Mr Freddy Beard and Mr Read - employees of the donor, Mr F.C. Ihlee, Peterborough, Peterborough, England, 1930-1938. A carvel-built vessel, it has a maximum beam and aft, to accommodate the buoyancy needed to support the mortar mounted on a specially constructed platform at the stern.
