Painting, oils on canvas, George Jones, director of the Great Western Railway by James Curnock, July 1838. Depicts Jones, balding and with white hair and side whiskers, seated against the backdrop of a red curtain. He is dressed in a dark suit and necktie. His right hand is inserted in his coat pocket, and in his left he holds a paper titled 'Railway Report'. Inscription on the reverse reads "George Jones Esq, Aged 66 years, Uncle to Mrs Broughton, Painted by J Curnock, July 1838, for Mr T Broughton". Unframed.
