Limited edition Print. Presentation copy (edition of 850) Autumn of steam. Class 97 at Southall shed,October 1963 by Terence Cuneo. 1963. File No: 618/25. Text: "British Railways Standard Design Class 97 No 92245 at Southall Shed in Oct. 1963 after playing the role of "Evening Star" for the artist". Small pencil sketch, bottom LH Text; "This weatherbeaten class 9F was mine for the day. Her boiler pressure was down but there was steam enough to move her. In solitary state I drove her from the shed at Southall, out onto the turntable and back over two sets of points until I had her posed against the rust and weeds of a forgotten siding. This setting I felt was an appropriate epitaph to the last months of a fine old engine." Artist: Terence Cuneo. Publisher:Richard Lucraft Limited, London. Association: Certificate of Authentication.
