Painting, oil on board, Track Laying, by Hugh Chevins, 1966. Depicts a British Railways permanent way tracklaying gang at work. In the centre a railway crane is lowering a section of track and concrete sleepers, as the gang prepare the ballast. At left is another train with a steam crane. Unframed.
