Health Education model used in Nepal for teaching the means of infection in tuberculosis and the necessity of maintaining the course of medication, made for Models for Rural Development, London, ca. 1982.

Tuberculosis is often spread because there is a lack of understanding about how it is transmitted and treated. This model was used in Nepal to teach that coughing over others can spread the disease. The grey threads represent germs and saliva. On the right, the same woman receives a course of tablets. She is required to take three a day for six months. Only by finishing the course is the woman receiving the correct medical treatment. The model was made by Models for Rural Development.
