Even though the instrument contains a plethora of figures, the user has to add or multiply to get the whole range of results. One side gives the interest at 10% for various ‘principals’ or deposited sums for various times, the other the interest at 8% for the same principals and time. The decimal system of currency in the USA prevents the scale being more complex.
