Glass is the most fragile and transparent of materials. It can be of little or great value depending upon its quality and the use to which it is put. Glass was discovered over 4000 years ago and it is one of the most important materials known to man being impervious and relatively inert. It is used for the making of vessels, mirrors, lamps and beautiful objects. The extraordinary capacity of glass to refract light is used in prisms, chandeliers and candelabra and decorative objects
