Dry, prepayment gas meter made by Smith Meters Ltd in 1956, capacity 50 cu ft/hr, constructed of grey painted, tin-plated steel with F&P seal, Serial No. L1681. Auto check digital meter used in hotels and bed-sitting rooms etc. Meter accepted 1d and 6d coins. (Tingley catalogue No. 215).
