Coloured lithograph with a circular image depicting a profile view of a locomotive, tender and two carriages in deep snow, with a wooden fence in the foreground. The driver and fireman are on the locomotive footplate, with a guard seated on top of the first carriage. In the background are telegraph wires on poles. Snow is falling. Mounted on board, with the title in ink below the print. Just visible at the bottom edge of the image are the words "Tintorette printing by Dean & Son, Threadneedle Street, London."
