Coloured lithograph. Locomotive Engine "The Rocket", 1830, built by George Stephenson. Shows the locomotive in rural setting, Engineer and fireman attending to engine, onlookers watching. Inn in background "The Coach and Horses" with stage coach outside. Published by The Leadenhall Press Ltd, 50 Leadenhall Street, London, EC. 16 July 1894. Entered according to Act of Congress in the Office of the Librarian at Washington, USA, in the year 1894 by the Leadenhall Press Ltd, London. The illustration actually shows the Stephensons' locomotive "Northumbrian", also built in 1830.
