Coloured engraving, With a Distant View of Primrose Hill, Chalk Farm and its Environs taken from Park Street, about 1838. Depicts the London and Birmingham Railway with a train of open carriages full of people. A crowd of fashionably dressed spectators, some on horseback or in carriages, looks on. In the background are the engine houses and chimneys of the stationary winding engines. Beyond is the knoll of Primrose Hill, open countryside and woods in the distance. Text beneath the illustration reads "Drawn and engraved by A. F. Edington. With a Distant View of Primrose Hill, Chalk Farm and its Environs taken from Park Street.
