Model, scale 1:6, of a single-hide Rosses Curragh, (c. 1840), J.H. Craine, Liverpool, England, 1930-1937.
In the wild district of Rosses on the Donegal coast of Ireland the curragh, represented by the model, was in use at the middle of the nineteenth century. Propulsion was mainly the use of one paddler kneeling in the bows and another at the stern paddling and steering.
