AEC trolleybus, double decker, 1939. Ex - Brighton, Hove & District; ex - BRB vehicle. Registration no. CPM 61.

The Associated Equipment Company Ltd or AEC worked with English Electric to produce the trolleybus from 1931 to 1939. Between 1911 and 1972 approximately 50 trolleybus systems ran in Britain, with the longest running in Bradford. This example was built in 1939 for the Brighton, Hove & District service, where it was also used as a tramway replacement. The last trolleybus to run in Brighton was in 1961.
