Coxeter and two colleagues listed the 75 uniform polyhedra which had been discovered by 1954. Just over 20 years later John Skilling showed that these formed the complete set, but if the rules were relaxed to allow more than two faces to meet at an edge, so that edges were effectively doubling up, another could be produced. The Museum was fortunate enough to be presented with Skilling’s original drawing of ‘Skilling’s figure’ in 1997.
