Album: with green hardback covers. The front inside cover is inscribed with the subject in pencil. Comprises 14 pages and 22 silver gelatin prints, 6" x 6" and was compiled by FG Smith, Locomotive Superintendent of the Highland Railway, 1912-1915. Photographs show views of workshops for construction and repair of locomotives and passenger and freight rolling stock. Also a packet of hand-painted photographs and silver gelatin prints, 10 x 7 ins - 4¾ x 2¾ ins, showing views of Bruges and Ostend, a railway accident, motor cars and the Smith family, namely Frederick (FG), his wife Lilian and Stephen Smith, bulmer's cousin. There are also two colour postcards of North Eastern Railway engines.
