Conductor's electrical baton (glass tube broken), unsigned, England, 1886-1887. The baton was made for and used by Arthur Sullivan, in order that he could conduct ‘Ruddygore’. ‘Ruddygore’ was an opera, which was written by Arthur Sullivan, with a libretto by (William Schwenck) W. S. Gilbert.
