School room scene picture puzzle board, 13 pieces, wooden with cloth bottom, artist H.O. Kennedy, by C.H. Stoelting Co., Chicago

A schoolroom scene is shown on this picture puzzle board. It was drawn by artist H. O. Kennedy. It has 13 removable parts. The subject had to replace them in the correct spaces, usually in a given amount of time. Aptitude testing was widespread in schools and the workplace in the early to mid-20th century. This puzzle was produced by American manufacturer C. H. Stoelting and Company. It specialised in aptitude testing equipment. These included books, puzzles and mechanical apparatus.
