Safety lamp, Cambrian, Clanny type (bonnetted), maker: Thomas and Williams, Aberdare, marking: makers name, 1901
Presented by the Home Office. This is similar in construction to No. 128. Air is taken in through holes on the underside of the flange supporting the bonnet, passes through the gauze and down to the flame. The products of combustion pass out through the holes at the top of the bonnet. In distinction to Inv. 1901-111 this lamp has a lead plug lock instead of a pneumatic one, but the bonnet in both lamps is secured by one of the pillars in front of the glass moving axially.
