Going-barrel English Lever, with arrangement to allow for left-handed winding, by T. Yates, no.17481, 1860

English lever watch movement of about 1870 by THOS. Yates, Preston, No. 17481, with arrangement of mainspring patented by C. Powell in 1862. The spring is let into a recess in the bottom plate and fixed at its outer end, and the train is driven from the barrel arbor. A maintaining power mechanism is provided and the winding is left-handed.
