Three different examples of Hungarian miners lamps, pre 1865

These are from Hungary, and only differ from the Roman lamp (inv. 1904-96) in material and details of construction; similar lamps are met with in France, N. Italy, etc. One for using tallow is open, while the others for using oil are closed, the wick being inserted by a slide; tweezers or a pricker for adjusting the wick are attached. Hooks for carrying and fixing are provided.
