Safety lamp, Mueseler, 1840-65

Safety lamp, Mueseler, 1840-65

This is similar to inv. 1857-211 and has an inner conical tube, terminating above the flame in a small bell -mouth and reaching nearly to the top of the gauze cylinder, separating the incoming air from the products of combustion, so giving a good draught while cooling the gauze and glass.
