Presentation casket, wooden, with brass plate on lid engraved 'LMS Hotels bottled Bass red triangle 1939 presented to British Transport Hotels Ltd by Bass Charrington Ltd", containing beer bottle of Bass Red Triangle beer, bottled for the London Midland & Scottish Railway reputedly one of the last bottles of beer sold on a train before the outbreak of World War II.

This unopened bottle of Bass ‘Red Triangle’ was reputedly one of the last bottles of beer sold on a train before the outbreak of World War II in 1939. Having been bottled specially for London Midland & Scottish Railway Hotels, the date code on the label reads August 1939.
