P.D. 2.2 dry powder fire extinguisher
This extinguisher, which is intended for home use, is expendable and must be replaced after discharge. It contains one kilogram of dry powder and is pressurised by nitrogen at 150 lb. per sq. in. It is operated by striking the red plastic nozzle cap hard down onto a firm surface to release a jet of powder which flows for about ten seconds with a range of eight feet.
