Barnet Mark II ventilator made by W Watson and Son Limited of Barnet, England. 1950-70.

Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk used this Barnet Mark II ventilator. It is a portable automatic ventilator. It was used in the operating theatre during surgery or on the ward for controlled ventilation during recovery. The apparatus is fully portable, self-powered and very light. This meant it could be moved while in use. Gases were administered through two tubes attached to the front of the ventilator.

The Mark II ventilator was developed at Barnet General Hospital. It was made and distributed by W. Watson & Son Limited.
