This wire welding machine made in 1947 is generally similar to inventory no. 1904-15. The gaps between the vices can be varied by in, as used when welding small pieces, up to 3 in for annealing without interfering with the welding settings. This enables a joint to be annealed immediately after welding. The calibrated upsetting-pressure spring is placed on the side of the aluminium body which encloses the transformer.
