Control panel for the Jason nuclear reactor installed in Royal Naval College, Greenwich, made by Elliott-Automation Limited, Borehamwood, England, 1961-1962.
The control panel was used to train nuclear submarine officers. Jason was an Argonaut type reactor of 10kW maximum power enriched-uranium fuel, water moderated and cooled, graphite reflected system and was second hand when installed at RNC in 1962. The control desk was last used in July 1995 when the reactor was shut down for the last time. It was powered by 3-Phase at 415 volts.
