Photographs, a collection of approximately 1360 film negatives, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 ins, including 750 cellulose nitrate film negatives. Mainly featuring locomotives built by the London & North Western Railway, Midland Railway, Caledonian Railway, Highland Railway and North British Railway in London Midland & Scottish Railway service. Also London Brighton & South Coast Railway and South Eastern & Chatham Railway locomotives in Southern Railway service, British Railways, narrow gauge, industrial and French railways and the Railway Museum at Queen Street, York. Photographer believed to be Alec McNair.
