Adaptive spectacles 'Adspecs', spectacles with a power which can be adapted to suit the prescription of the wearer by injecting or removing small quantities of silicone oil in the lens, lens made of transparent polyester membranes and silicone oil, invented and developed by Joshua Silver, Professor of Physics at the University of Oxford, 1997.
